THE STAR OF INDIA ROLLS TO AUCTION
The famous, known as the “Star of India” is expected to sell for as much as a projected $14 million. This would break the old record of the 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa which sold for $12 million.
ROLLS ROYCE SALE TO BEAT FERRARI WORLD RECORD FOR MOST EXPENSIVE CAR SOLD AT AUCTION
What’s so special about the vehicle that it will most likely be able to garner such a huge ticket price when the auction gavel pounds this September 15th [2009]? The ultra-luxury and incredibly rare and mint condition vehicle is a “one off” 1934 Rolls Royce Phantom II 40/50 HP Continental. Up until now it has been a part of the museum’s vintage auto display in Mühlheim/Main, Germany

The “All-Weather Convertible” has a very illustrious history, as it was custom made for the Maharaja of Rajkot. Now you understand why it makes sense how a luxe vehicle could possibly outsell such a magnificent exotic racing car. It epitomizes the term exotic in the foreign flamboyant sense.
This car is pure sex, lust, and fantastic gluttony rolled into one chassis and polished. More, it inspires most of the other seven sins depending on who you are talking to and whether or not they think they can raise the cash to make a competitive bid on this auction house débutante from Zach’s world class auto collection.
